I love texture and movement. My "At Play" pieces are intuitive & improvisational. Starting with a general idea, I make basic fabric choices and start stitching. I let the piece lead me to the next step: would lighter look better here; would dark look better there? "Hey, look at me! I'm too flat; I need a bead." On this piece, I realized some spaces were no longer flat and I hoped ironing and fuzing with the background fabric would make it flat. No such luck, Oh well, the ripples just add more texture!
