Fading Fox, Barbara Triscari
2022
42 x 35
A red fox was drawn in rust from a photograph taken in my yard on a winter day during covid. A red fox family has been coming into our yard: assumably they were displaced from the farmland that was developed into a mega warehouse next door. The image of the fox fades into being with the rust development as the fox’s habitat is fading away. The rust color is very similar to the colors in the winter photograph which is printed on the label on the back of the piece.
