I photographed an injured owl at a wildlife rescue and used it to draw the owl in rust. The strips represent the fragile habitats and world we are providing animals as we encroach further and further into their spaces. Old growth trees were taken down very close to my house and a couple of days later I saw a bald eagle in our yard. I hope that it found a hospitable habitat and we are not taking steps back to making them endangered again. How many mega warehouses do we need as some sit empty?
